Stephen Quennoz

Vice president Stephen Quennoz oversees all aspects of PGE's generation and power supply operations, including oversight of the operation and maintenance of PGE's seven hydroelectric power plants, five thermal power plants and a wind project. He also oversees the Trojan Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation.

A PGE employee since 1991, Quennoz was hired as site engineering manager of the Trojan Plant. He then served as plant general manager and Trojan site executive and was named vice president of Nuclear & Thermal Operations in 1998 and then vice president of Generation in 2001. He assumed his current responsibilities in July 2004.

Before joining PGE, Quennoz was the plant general manager of the Arkansas Nuclear One project for Arkansas Power & Light Company and plant superintendent of Toledo Edison Company's Davis-Besse Nuclear Station. He also served in the U.S. Navy as an officer in the nuclear submarine program and retired with the rank of captain in the U.S. Naval Reserve.

A 1969 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md., Quennoz holds a bachelor's degree in applied science. He also has several master's degrees: nuclear engineering from North Carolina State University (1971); mechanical engineering from the University of Connecticut (1978); and operations management from the University of Arkansas (1987). He also earned a master's of business administration degree in 1984 from the University of Toledo in Ohio. Quennoz is a registered professional engineer.

Now residing in St. Helens with his wife, Jeanne, and their four children, Quennoz enjoys hiking, climbing, reading and running.
